Desiccated Coconut Drying Production Line
1. Project Overview
Desiccated coconut is a mixture of shredded coconut and coconut powder, widely used as fillings for pastries, mooncakes and breads, or sprinkled on candied haws and baked foods for flavor enhancement and surface decoration. It is produced by shredding or grinding coconut meat, followed by professional drying and uniform mixing. Natural desiccated coconut is pure white, while most commercial products present an attractive golden and glossy appearance due to the addition of butter, egg liquid, sugar and egg yolk during processing. Such processed desiccated coconut features better taste, richer flavor and more comprehensive nutrition, yet with relatively high calorie content, thus excessive consumption is not recommended, nor is it suitable for decoration on candied haws.
2. Equipment Overview
Materials are evenly spread on the mesh belt by the feeder. The belt adopts 12–60 mesh stainless steel wire mesh and moves steadily inside the dryer driven by the transmission device. The dryer consists of multiple independent units with separate hot air circulation systems for each unit. Part of the exhaust gas is discharged through a dedicated dehumidifying fan with adjustable valves. Hot air penetrates the material layer on the mesh belt from bottom to top or top to bottom to complete heat and mass transfer and remove moisture efficiently. The mesh belt operates at an adjustable speed according to material temperature, and the dried finished products fall into the material collector continuously. Upper and lower circulation units and the number of drying sections can be flexibly configured according to production requirements.
3. Equipment Features
1. Compact multi-layer structure
The advanced multi-layer design greatly shortens the overall equipment length and reduces factory construction investment. With a large effective drying area, the equipment supports large-scale and continuous mass production.
2. Energy-saving and uniform hot air circulation system
Equipped with automatic temperature control and a unique hot air circulation mode, the equipment ensures uniform temperature distribution, improves drying efficiency and reduces energy consumption. It effectively avoids material discoloration and facilitates daily equipment cleaning and maintenance.
3. Material turning structure for uniform drying
Material turning teeth are installed above the mesh belt to flip materials continuously during operation, ensuring uniform drying and preventing material adhesion.
4. Independent air volume adjustment for each layer
The air volume of each drying layer can be adjusted independently according to different drying stages of materials, so as to guarantee consistent and high drying quality.

All core components adopt well-known brand accessories, ensuring stable long-term operation and excellent equipment durability.
4. Project Advantages
The entire production line adopts a fully enclosed material processing structure, composed of a swinging feeding section, multi-stage drying section and discharging section. The swinging feeding system evenly disperses desiccated coconut on the mesh belt and conveys materials to the drying section at a constant speed. Materials pass through three graded hot air drying zones at 80℃, 90℃ and 120℃ in sequence before final discharging.
The production line adopts top-down circulating air design. Heated air is sucked by the induced draft fan, pre-distributed at the air outlet, and evenly dispersed through orifice plates. The uniform hot air penetrates the material layer vertically to realize efficient and gentle dehydration, ensuring stable drying effect and high-quality finished products.
